iTOVi Scanner

What is the iTOVi Scanner, you ask?

Let me tell you all about it!  Last night, my friend (and doTERRA upline) Laura messaged me to tell me she had just received her iTOVi scanner in the mail and she wanted me to come right over to try it out.  You guys...it was late and I was already in my pajamas, but that did not stop me from asking my husband to drive over with me so we could give the iTOVi scanner a whirl.  He probably thought I was a bit nuts like he does with most things I suggest, but he drove us over anyway.  We arrived, she met us in the driveway and she had her iPhone with the iTOVi app already installed and connected via Bluetooth to her iTOVi scanner.  She had my husband enter his personal information (name, address, email, height, weight, etc.) and then he held the scanner in the palm of his hand and within a couple of minutes his scan was complete.  We then emailed him his results and I repeated the same process for myself.  We were literally both done from start to finish within five minutes.  5 MINUTES!  I was able to view my own personalized scan report that listed recommended product suggestions based on the results of my scan.  I now have a better understanding of which doTERRA essential oils and products we need to incorporate into our lives.  Check out the screenshot below to see what my personalized scan report looked like.

My personal iTOVi scan report results.
As you can see, Spearmint essential oil was on my list, so I added it to my bath last night. I also added a couple of drops along with Lemon essential oil to my ice water today.  I loved the iTOVi so much I ordered my own scanner as soon as we got in the car!

For any of my Wellness Advocate friends and/or team members, please message me if you have questions or would like more information on how it works and how to get your own scanner.  If you are ready to get your own to use in your home/workplace and to assist when you host classes or talk to people about oils, please click on my referral link.

DIY Soothing Throat Spray

Wellness Ang DIY Soothing Throat Spray
DIY Soothing Throat Spray
DIY Soothing Throat Spray

This DIY Soothing Throat Spray is a must have staple in our home.  It's a mix of five essential oils and distilled water.  It takes less than 5 minutes to make and tastes better than any throat spray I've ever tried.

Here's what you'll need:
2 ounce Glass Spray Bottle
2 Drops of Cinnamon Essential Oil
3 Drops of Clove of Essential Oil
2 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil
2 Drops of Melaleuca Essential Oil
5 Drops of Protective Blend Essential Oil
2 Tablespoons of Distilled Water (I've also used boiled water that I've let cool prior to adding to the glass bottle)

Here's how we use it in our home:
Shake well before each use.  At the first sign of a dry or scratchy throat, I spray (3) sprays directly in the mouth, toward the back of the throat.  The Clove essential oil causes an almost immediate numbing effect, so it helps us right away.  Then, I spray as needed throughout the day/night.  My 11 year old son doesn't love the taste, but he tolerates it better than most things I've tried giving him.

If you try this recipe, please let me know what you think!

DIY Cleaning Scrub

DIY Cleaning Scrub Recipe

I love Soft Scrub with Bleach.  It works great, but I can't handle the strong smell.  So, I decided to try my hand at creating my own DIY version.  Guess what?  My DIY version worked really well, made enough to clean my shower, tub, two sinks and is all natural!  No horrible burn your nose or throat after smell, either.

I've already created my own cleaning spray and now this cleaning scrub.  I hope to NEVER purchase a commercial cleaning product again!  I need to find a great wood cleaner/polish next.

Here's what you'll need:

1 Cup of Baking Soda
1/4 cup Dr Bronner's Liquid Castile Soap (I have used both the Peppermint and Unscented versions)
1 Tablespoon of White Vinegar
11 Drops of Essential Oil (I prefer to use Lemon)
Mix all of the above ingredients and use.

Please note - I have used this cleaning scrub on my porcelain bathtub, ceramic tile walls and grout, travertine steam shower and grout, sink, counters and toilet.  If you are concerned at all with how it may affect a surface in your own home, please do a spot test before anything else.

I haven't made enough that I need to worry about storing any leftovers yet, but I am going to look into some type of container to keep a larger batch in.  I am thinking of using a small glass bowl of some sort, I just haven't decided on the exact one yet.

If you decide to try this DIY Cleaning Scrub Recipe, please let me know what you think!

DIY Cleaning Spray Recipe

I made this DIY All-Natural Cleaning Spray in less than two minutes!  I love a clean house and have tested this in my own home.  You can use this to clean your counters, appliances, sinks, bathrooms, etc.  Since it contains vinegar, I have not tested it on wooden surfaces.  It is much safer than store bought cleaners, smells great and in my opinion it cleans just as well, if not better.

It was super easy to make.  The glass bottles are from Amazon.  The spray was made using 1 cup of vinegar, distilled water and 21 drops of essential oils.  That's it! Easy-peasy.

Here is the recipe for my DIY All-Natural Cleaning Spray

Add the following ingredients to a 16 ounce glass bottle:

1 Cup of Vinegar
11 Drops of Eucalyptus Essential Oil
5 Drops of Lemon Essential Oil
5 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
Top off with Distilled Water

Shake gently and get to cleaning - Your nose will thank you!
